Timpanogos

On Saturday Steve along with his sister Heidi, her husband Eric and a friend Justin, participated in the 2nd Annual Kettle Family Timpanogos hike. We did this hike for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. You start hiking before dawn so that you can get to the top before the sun becomes too punishing. Thus, the first few pictures are taken in the early dawn light. The commentary on the slide show was lovingly narrated by Steve! We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as he enjoyed being able to take them.

The kids and I spent a very lazy day at home resting up and watching a movie. All that resting up wore us out so much that I didn't even do any cooking this weekend. Shocking I know!

Hummers

This summer we have had a lot of fun watching the hummingbirds. We have 3 feeders outside our living room window and we get to see the hummingbirds a couple of times a day. There are two little birds that visit our feeders regularly. Our hummingbirds are rather skittish, so if we are outside they are hesitant to eat. However, we have still been able to catch a glimpse of them up close. Elizabeth loves looking out the window and seeing the birds at the feeders. She gets very excited. Just this past week Steve decided it would be fun to get some pictures. After waiting for a long time at our house for the hummingbirds to show up, he decided to head up to his mom's house and try there. They have 4 or 5 feeders and tons of birds. So, he spent about an hour taking pictures. He got quite a few good shots and we wanted to share them with you. Enjoy!
